Working Principle

Roller-to-Roller (Tangential) Drive

  • Each roller connects to the next through a chain or belt, creating a continuous drive loop powered by a centrally located AC geared motor.

Zero-Pressure Accumulation

  • In accumulation mode, the roller drive head continues rotating while product movement depends on downstream conditions.
  • When an end stopper, intermediate stopper, or upstream product creates an obstruction, the clutch mechanism inside each roller disengages. This allows products to halt gently without back pressure, while the drive system remains active.
  • Once the obstruction clears, the clutch re-engages, and product movement resumes automatically.

Motor-Driven Rotation

  • The AC geared motor rotates the drive belt or chain, synchronizing roller movement for smooth product transport when no obstructions are present.

Operating Modes

  • Continuous Running: For steady transport.
  • Indexing: For start/stop intervals.
  • Zero-Pressure Accumulation: For contact-free buffering and accumulation.
